Here come the humans

Twilight.

The bane of my existence.

The fanfare, the craziness, the insanity. It is coming to an end soon, thank goodness. Not before I will be made to suffer though.

A pox upon thee, Stephenie Meyer.

I read all four books and I did enjoy them. Yes, there was some insanity involved with getting a copy of the last book, Breaking Dawn, but it wasn't too bad. The movie is proving to be another story all together.

I let them talk me into this crap, "them" being my two insane sisters, and I should know better, especially after the Johnny Depp/Pirates of the Caribbean 17 hour stand off. This latest endeavor is going to make that day look like a cake walk.

We leave tomorrow for LA.

The movie premier for Twilight is Monday night. We will be there, somewhere. I'm not sure how this is all going to pan out. The girls have been following the blogs and message boards concerning what is to happen. We have a hotel room close to the theater but I don't think we are going to be in it much. Its mainly for bathroom breaks and showers. Actually, I am only participating to be the voice of reason and to watch over the two kidlings, R and A-Boo Boo, in case things get too scary. They, ::sigh:: we, are planning on spending the night out on some street in Westwood to make sure we get a spot somewhere close to the theater for the premier. Not to actually see the movie, just to see the stars walk into the theater. How crazy is that? It sort of reminds me of those two guys who parked their lawn chairs in front of a theater they THOUGHT was going to be showing the last Star Wars movie, SIX MONTHS before it came out. Can we say geeks? And that will be us, Twilight geeks.

It gets worse...

We all are wearing matching shirts. But not just any ordinary Twilight shirts. These beauties were special made. They all say Twilight on the front but we each picked out a quote from the movie/book to have put on the back.

Geeks. I tell ya.

And if that wasn't enough, there is the meet and greet thingy going on at Hot Topic. Did you see the disaster that unfolded in San Francisco? They expected 300 to show up and ended up with 3000. We still don't know if we have tickets to that yet. They got smart and started selling wrist bands early so C is going over to Hot Topic tonight to get four of them. I am bowing out of that one. At $30 a pop, I can do without seeing Jacob, Emmett, Rosalie and Jasper. I told J that IF we get the wristbands, this would be a sure thing, could we skip the premier and just do this instead.

Apparently, I am the insane one for even thinking that. What ever...

So, off I go. Again. Hubby is none to happy with me because I will be gone until Wednesday. Spending the night on the street like some homeless person, in the freezing cold, is not my idea of a fun time but he is not consoled by that.

After this is over and done with, we have the actual movie coming out on Friday the 21st. You know, without even asking, that we already have our tickets for the midnight showing. Then on Sunday we are taking a group of girls to see the movie again, for R's birthday party and then that's IT!

Done!

Fin!

The End!

Until the next book is made into a movie and then I am afraid they will start this nonsense all over again.

::UPDATE::

C was able to get to Hot Topic in time to get four wristbands. That means we are staying until Wednesday, for sure. A performance by Paramore at 4pm and then the meet and greet at 5:30.

Joy.

I was all worried about the wildfires you being in CA and all. Guess I should have been worried about you being dragged off to meet movie stars . . . ;oP I hope you have fun at the meet and greet. I think I might read Twilight now, one of my friends said it was good.
