Just a quickie

If I get caught sitting at the computer, I will be so busted so this one has to be fast...like cheetah, and my son would say.

We are having oodles of family over today and of course, you don't even have to ask, yes, my house is still a mess. Everyone is coming over to see this guy...



That's my BIL, hugging his Momma after two long years.

We took him out to dinner last night to our favorite Mexican place. He ate really fast and cleaned his plate. Habit. Hell, the last time he got out we stopped for breakfast on the way home and he not only cleaned his plate but when we got up to leave he had his dishes stacked and was picking them up to clear the table. Again, habit.

You would think a man who is almost 50 and has spent probably more than half his life being told when to eat, sleep, work, go to the bathroom, etc, would do anything to not have to go back to that. Some say its why he does though. Its all he knows. I am overjoyed to have him back so I will just take it for what it is. He is home.

For now.

Hubby is outside busting his butt trying to trim all the bushes and trees. Not so much to make the yard look nice for today but because this is the last day of the city clean up and he wants to get all the cuttings to the city yard, plus what ever trash and junk we still have left over from last weekends cleaning frenzy. We took five pick up loads of junk to be trashed. All from the garage. Anyway, he is outside huffing and puffing and I am inside, huffing and puffing from cleaning the house. At least, that's what he thinks I am doing. Not sitting here, blogging. Or checking on my farm at Farm Town. I know I have crops that need to be harvested.

So much to do, so little time.
